Letter from Dr. Akwanga in Ghana to New England

This is part of a letter from Dr. Akwanga and Ebenezer Akwanga Human Rights and Humanitarian Institute in Ghana. Dr. Akwanga helped distribute this container of items from Orphan Grain Train New England:
Accept greetings from Accra, Ghana. Enclosed are raw images from two of our humanitarian outreach donations following our Easter stretch. These two donations of medical beds and mattresses (courtesy of Orphan Grain Train New England), microscopes, Hoyer lifts, bone scanner or Bone X-Ray machine, lots of clothes, geriatric chairs, food, lots of Bibles and Christian literature, school supplies and medical supplies, mobility scooters from Mobility Worldwide, etc. were donated to Catholic Diocese of Ketu-Akatsi Health Service Directorate in the Volta Region, and to the people of Wenchi municipality in the Bono Region.
After recovering from my serious health scare and the armed robbery, I led our team to Wenchi with the support of the Member of Parliament from the constituency, Hon. Seidou Haruna to hand over the medical beds, mattresses and other items. Wenchi is a predominantly Methodist community when it comes to issues of faith, however there are other religious affiliations in the area including Islam and other independent Christian denominations. It is cosmopolitan in nature and located somewhere around the middle of the Republic of Ghana. The roads from Accra to Wenchi are not the best which makes the journey tricky and treacherous with almost 10 hours of sitting in a bus.
Today is a public holiday in Ghana – Founder’s Day – honoring the vision of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and celebrating the country Ghana. We want to heartily thank all of you at OGT Headquarters, OGT Maryland and New England, Mobility Worldwide, NBUMC and all your supporters and donors for partnering with EAHRHI so that collectively we can continue to put into action the very teachings of Jesus Christ, Our personal Lord and Savior as in the synoptic gospel of Matthew Chapter 25: 35-40.
Remain blessed,
Dr. Akwanga
