Two Churches & Sixteen Ladies Come Together for OGT

On Monday, September 21, sixteen ladies, from two churches came together to finish six quilts for Orphan Grain Train-Phoenix. These talented ladies were The Epiphany Quilters, from Epiphany Lutheran Church-Chandler, AZ and The Saving Grace Quilt Mission, from Saving Grace Lutheran Church Queen Creek, AZ. A potluck lunch was served before an afternoon of fellowship and quilting and lots of sharing! The Chandler ladies demonstrated a new rotary blade sharpener and fabric cutting techniques that they use. The Saving Grace Quilt Mission donates quilts to the Phoenix Branch on a regular basis. OGT-Phoenix will include these quilts in a December shipment to the Navajo Nation in Rock Point, AZ. The event was held at Epiphany Lutheran, which is the home church of Jean Weber, the Volunteer Coordinator for the Phoenix Branch. God blessed our hands today!
Thank you! To the sixteen ladies who gathered to finish the six quilts so that they can be shared with people who can enjoy them.
