Aid Delivered to Local Missions and Veterans

Orphan Grain Train Wichita volunteers distributed one hundred pieces of household items to Union Rescue Mission. They also handed out bedding, blankets and clothing to Open Door Mission and Passageways, Ltd. Both Union Rescue Mission and Open Door Mission provide support for people going through life challenges while Passageways specifically supports veterans.

Hay Sent to Texas Amid Drought

Due to worsening drought conditions in Texas and New Mexico, the need for hay has grown. In April, Orphan Grain Train Wisconsin responded by sending two loads—38 round bales each—to Quemado, Texas. Thank you, Wisconsin OGT, for stepping up to meet this urgent need.

Support Arrives at Oakridge

Twenty-seven boxes of bedding, blankets, clothing, household items and stuffed animals were delivered to Oakridge Neighborhood Services in Des Moines, Iowa by Orphan Grain Train Central Iowa branch in Clemons. The April delivery will go to children and families living in the non-profit housing and human services complex.

Cornerstone Children’s Ranch in Quemado, Texas was the recent recipient of two bountiful loads of food, clothing, household items, medical supplies and hygiene kits.
