Making Kits and Blessing the Receivers
Kindergarten and first grade students from St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Arlington Heights, Illinois recently put together 51 hygiene kits that were shared with Orphan Grain Train Missouri-Illinois branch in St. Louis. Kristin Drake, a kindergarten teacher at the school was able to organize this event by using money from a Thrivent grant and the school’s first quarter chapel offering. OGT field worker, Pete Gnan, visited the school in the fall and shared about OGT during the weekly chapel. Gnan’s children graduated from St. Peter’s. Thank you, students for the care you put into each well-folded hygiene bundle. Thank you, Kristin for gathering the funds and supplies for this event and then leading this activity. Thank you, for praying over each kit as they will go out and be shared with people in need.
