Container to Ghana Goes with the Lord’s Blessing

After loading the container, Orphan Grain Train Wisconsin volunteers gathered behind the trailer to ask for the Lords’s blessing on the journey of the goods and the people who will receive them. So many wonderful items will be shared with people in Ghana in the continent of Africa. Nine Personal Energy Transportation (PETS) mobility trikes for adults and children are part of this load. There are also 70 boxes of either hygiene, feminine hygiene, school, or layette kits included. Fifteen bicycles and more than 125 boxes of bedding, linens and sleeping mats and bags along with children’s and adult clothing and diapers are packed in the container.
Church Without Walls (C-WOW Ghana) is the recipient of this container.
It is a registered Christian nonprofit based in Accra–North, Ghana, dedicated to serving vulnerable communities in Accra and surrounding regions. Their incoming shipments arrive at Tema Port and are housed at their distribution hub at All Saints Lutheran Church Ghana in Anyaa Awoshie to support families displaced by flooding, under-resourced clinics and schools, churches in crisis, and youth and villages facing economic hardship. The region faces severe local challenges, including seasonal floods that destroy homes, clinics operating with minimal medical equipment, schools lacking basic learning materials, and families struggling to afford hygiene items, clothing, and bedding.
To combat these hardships, C‑WOW relies on vital shipments that provide school supplies, medical durable equipment, hygiene kits, clothing, shoes, bedding, food, Christian resources like Bibles, and practical tools such as sewing machines. To ensure these donations make a meaningful impact, a dedicated distribution committee oversees the entire process, guaranteeing fair and transparent distribution, providing photo documentation, and maintaining strict monitoring and accountability for every item.
We praise God for all the volunteers who helped prepare and make this shipment ready to be sent.
