556 Boxes of Aid Delivered to the Navajo Nation
The Phoenix Branch delivered 556 boxes of clothing and supplies to the Toba City Assembly Church on the Navajo Nation. The Navajo Nation is a Native American Reservation that occupies portions of NE Arizona, NW New Mexico and SE Utah and covers roughly 17,544,500 acres. The Navajo Nation is the largest land area held by a Native American tribe in the US. Beginning at 7:00 am, the truck was being loaded with help from our neighbor’s forklift. We were on the road at 8:15 and arrived at the Tuba City Assembly Church at 12:15 pm. The drive was met with high winds, rain, sleet and snow! (Yes, it snows in Arizona!!) Upon arrival, with the help of 9-10 tribal members, the 556 boxes were unloaded and stored in a spare room. The return drive had the same inclement weather for most of the drive back to Phoenix. We are honored and blessed to serve our brothers and sisters of the Navajo Nation.
