Team of Seven Begin Replacing Fire-Damaged Fences in Hyannis, Nebraska

Orphan Grain Train begins fencing in Hyannis, Nebraska this week where the Minor and Morrill fires destroyed inconceivable miles of fencing. The loss of fencing is a major factor in the long-term recovery of ranching operations in the area. A crew of four men left on Monday morning, June 8th, hauling a load of hedge posts, treated posts, corner posts, wire and equipment. The men will meet up with four other men to complete this week’s team of seven working in Hyannis to begin setting in new hedge posts in the sandhills. Thank you, to all the OGT donors who have provided incredibly generous support to this mission in western Nebraska.
