Phoenix Branch Blessed By Wonderful Donations
OGT Phoenix Branch has been spreading our mission at several different events the past two months: The third event was on March 1st, OGT Phoenix set up our OGT table display and the weaving loom. Carol Wrede, from Norfolk, NE, a winter visitor and a member of the Quilters on Wheels in Apache Junction, AZ where their annual quilt show is held. The weaving loom drew lots of attention and we spoke to many of people about OGT/Phoenix and what we do in the State of Arizona. This caught the attention of Karen Storm and she asked if she and a few friends could come to the warehouse and volunteer for a few hours. Karen brought fourteen volunteers with her on March 11. All of these volunteers are snowbirds from the Midwest and they worked for three hours and filled 97 boxes! They are welcome back anytime. The Quilter’s on Wheels donated all the pillowcase dresses that they made the past several months. Phoenix Branch is blessed.
