Kasitu Village of Malawi Happy to Carry Fortified Meals from Shipment
Orphan Grain Train Norfolk’s load to Malawi and Action for Progress arrived at its destination. Action for Progress shared a letter explaining the distribution of the 272,160 Feed My Starving Children fortified meals. It is rainy season in Kasitu Village of Malawi. Navigating the muddy roads can be a challenge, and sometimes they are impassable. The driver attempted to deliver the meals to the people of the village, but road conditions would not allow it. The Action for Progress team asked some of the people receiving the food to help carry the boxes to the distribution area. The people of Kasitu lifted the boxes on their heads and carried the boxes to the people who would also be receiving the food. All 660 people who had gathered to receive the rice meals received the food and went home happily. We are grateful to our donors, who make shipments like this possible.
I thank my God every time I remember you.
