Students Learn how to Sort and Pack for Others

Christ Lutheran School students in 6-8th grades walked over to Orphan Grain Train Norfolk Servant Center on Thursday to volunteer. As part of Lutheran School’s week, the students spent the afternoon sorting and packing for their servant event. Part of the group packed Mercy Meals and the other packed blankets, clothing and school and hygiene kits. The groups switched jobs mid-way through. After an hour and a half of constant motion, the final count showed eight completed pallets of blankets and clothes and 5,184 Mercy Meals. Thank you, students and staff for spending your afternoon with us. Thank you for all you accomplished! Thank you, volunteers for being there to monitor each line, guide and refill supplies where needed.
