OGT Headed to NC With Container of Food
September 24, 2025, marked the one-year anniversary of the Hurricane Helene disaster. Orphan Grain Train Norfolk continues to work with Mike Toberer of Mission Mules as they bring aid to people in the Harmony, North Carolina area. Early Monday morning, OGT driver, Dan Pollack left Norfolk with a double-door container loaded with food supplies intended for people rebuilding and recovering from the $59 billion dollar damage of the hurricane and mudslides. The container is full of non-perishable food items and several pallets of beans. Two 19.8 cubic freezers full of frozen chicken and hot dogs are also on board.
