Kentucky Still Trying to Heal Receives Aid
Orphan Grain Train purchased a little more than $9,000.00 worth of various foods from Food Giant in Mayfield, KY for The Way Community Center in Wingo, KY. Every Monday, The Way has families living in poverty, homeless, some due to tornado still, many still live in campers or damaged homes, seniors, and others in need come for prayer, counseling, and food. On Wednesdays, they offer a hot meal, evening service and minister to 150 kids from pre-school to 12th grade. The Way also works with other organizations that feed families in need. The poverty and struggles still from the tornado affect many, many families. The mission of The Way is ‘ We are a church of prayer and servants trying to be the hands and feet of Jesus. It is my prayer that everyone who receives any blessings sees Jesus and that we are hid behind the cross.’
