50 Layette Kits Given to OGT Phoenix
On February 7, a group of nineteen women from the Superstition Sunrise Resort, in Apache Junction, AZ, made 25 girl and 25 boy layette kits. This event was led by Carol Wrede, an Arizona winter resident from Norfolk, NE. Carol’s husband, Bernie Wrede, is on the National Orphan Grain Train Board of Directors. Carol used a Thrivent Action Fund Card to help pay for the supplies needed. The OGT Phoenix Branch is grateful for these Layette kits. Besides the layette kits, Bernie and Carol collected clothing and other items for OGT Phoenix. Thank you, to everyone who participated in this event with such enthusiasm. Orphan Grain Train is grateful to Thrivent and for their Thrivent Action Cards that allow members to build kits to share with others.
