Giving Tuesday 2025 Help Purchase Solar Lights

Communities suffering from the effects of natural disasters are reaching out to Orphan Grain Train and requesting solar powered lights. Until electricity is restored, these amazing little inventions cast a bright light in the darkness.
All donations received for Giving Tuesday will go towards the purchase of these solar powered lights.
This is one of the requests we received after Super Typhoon Fun-wong struck the Philippines:
“Currently, Toboso is experiencing a significant power outage, impacting the entire community until now. We’ve installed a small solar setup to provide free phone charging, and we realized that this can be a sustainable Community Solar Project, serving the community with solar electricity for lights. However, its current capacity is very limited and needs an upgrade. Given the ongoing effects of the recent typhoons and as a form of preparation, we are seeking to expand our solar capabilities to accommodate more people in our community.”
