Gathering “leftover” Coats to Warm the Community

Sacred Heart Parish in Norfolk, Nebraska recently finished a coat drive that ended in October. They collected almost 300 coats. On Sunday, November 2, people were invited to come to the church and choose a winter coat for themselves or a family member. Pat Leavell, a member of Sacred Heart, suggested that any coats leftover from the “Coat Pick-Up” event be donated to Orphan Grain Train.
On Wednesday, those wonderful “leftover” coats were delivered to OGT. Thank you, Sacred Heart Parish for sharing what you collected from the community. Thank you, Pat Leavell for making your thoughtful suggestion and for all that you do at OGT.
