Casual Friday Funds go to Encouraging College Students in Norfolk
Every “Casual Friday” in the Orphan Grain Train Norfolk office, we have the tradition of the Casual Friday Donations Jar: wear jeans and put some money in the jar. At the end of the year, we choose an individual or group that could use the assistance of the accumulated cash. This year, $1,000 went to Northeast Community College’s Food Pantry Fund. Alexis from the college, accepted the money to purchase needed food items for students needing some encouragement as they work their way through school.
