Serving Christ, Serving Others
Pastor Tim and Keri Llewellyn and Jim and Kathy Carter at Faith Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Ne.
Our small-town churches are small in numbers but mighty in walking with the Lord on His mission and partnering with Orphan Grain Train-Lincoln.
Zion Lutheran in Pawnee City donated a multitude of hygiene kits, reusable diapers made out of t-shirts, Christmas boxes, clothing and yearly support to the backpack program in their community. For the past two years, they have hosted a Christmas tea for outreach. They donated over 300 crosses, with John 3:16 printed in Chinese on the back, to Deaconess Carol Halter, a missionary in Hong Kong.
Faith Lutheran in Humboldt also made over 300 crosses for Deaconess Carol Halter. This is the first year they will be doing Christmas boxes for OGT. Pastor Tim and Keri regularly volunteer at OGT and bring a carload of quilts, clothes and shoes to warm the hearts and souls of OGT recipients. Locally they support the Richardson County Cancer fund to assist cancer patients and donate to the Ministerial Alliance to help people in need to get food and gas. As part of outreach, their church delivers cookie plates to the homebound at Christmas.
Both churches are served by Pastor Tim Llewellyn and his wife Keri. What an amazing story of the Body of Christ working together on His mission.
