Store Fundraiser Reaches New Record

Boscov’s Department Store helps regional charities raise funds by encouraging the sale of five-dollar discount shopping passes to their annual one-day fall sale. After several weeks of selling passes and telling others about Orphan Grain Train, volunteers from Mid-Atlantic branch were thrilled to learn they raised $4,862, a new high! Success came with the help of an anonymous matching pledge that doubled all donations up to $2,000. Many volunteers experienced excellent pre-event activity, unsolicited donations from kindly supporters, and a good in-store response on the October 16th sale day. As an added bonus, a gift card drawing was won by a MAB pass holder, securing a $100 dollar Boscov donation to our branch! Each year the event challenges volunteers to do better, and every time the Lord continues to amaze us.
