Quilting Marathon 2018 for Orphan Grain Train

On January 20th the third annual Quilting Marathon was held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Aurora, Colorado. The event was a huge success. Sixty-three volunteer quilters assembled 37 quilts to be contributed to Orphan Grain Train in Castle Rock, CO. The quilters ranged in age from (8) eight years old to those well into their EIGHTIES. The volunteers assembled, sewed, and tied the quilt tops that had been prepared beforehand by the quilting ladies of Mount Olive. It was a productive day with lots of fellowship and time to meet and make new friends. Thanks be to God for the many willing hands which made the day fun filled and fulfilling. Castle Rock will ship the finished quilts in their February 26 shipment to a location to be determined.
