PreK Through 5th Graders Learn About Orphan Grain Train

During Lutheran Schools Week March 7-11, Houston’s Branch manager, Mike Rathje, and Board members Holly and Marti shared information about OGT with PreK through 5th grade students. The students were anxiously, ready and willing to volunteer during the hands-on time learning how to sort, count and pack the clothes. They were reminded how children can be the hands and feet of Jesus. OGT bracelets will be brightly visible on 250 youthful wrists throughout the southside of Houston. Lutheran South Academy has planned a ‘Clothes Drive’ encouraging families to drop off items at the school March 21 – April 1. What a blessing to have the prayers, offerings and clothing donations from the LSA families as we spread the word about OGT’s ministry in Houston.
