Hurricane Ida Victims Receive Help from OGT

OGT is assisting families in Louisiana that had homes destroyed by hurricane Ida. People of three different Louisiana parishes were the recipients of food, tools, wheel barrels, hygiene items, and cleaning products that arrived in an OGT reefer in Baton Rouge on Saturday 10/11. Toi Carter, our contact person and orchestrator of the distribution of supplies, said that five different faith-based groups rented moving trucks to haul the supplies. They unloaded the reefer on Saturday in Baton Rouge and then the five groups loaded their rented moving trucks and drove the trucks to individual homes for door-to-door distribution on Sunday. Around 500 households received assistance so far. This is just the start of OGT’s relief supplies and food for families devastated by Hurricane Ida, please continue to pray for comfort and strength for everyone.
