Eagle Scouts Help Out

Young men from our area have taken on the service opportunity of helping the Maryland Branch, and we’ve been blessed with some special gifts in the form of Eagle Scout projects. Three of these young men are members of Troop 339 in Severna Park and one is a member of Troop 993. Two of the scouts, CJ Snyder and Scott Davis, have completed their projects. CJ (Troop 993) built a picnic bench, with pavered pad, for the warehouse property (pictured). He involved his whole troop with the project. Scott collected the materials, assembled the contents and boxed over 200 hygiene kits. Two other scouts have projects in progress. Matthew Tagle is collecting sports equipment from athletes in the area. These will be distributed to orphanages and village groups in African countries. Jake Shirey is working on collecting school supplies. His target goal is to make 125 school kits for children in schools in Liberia. Congratulations to all our Eagle Scouts- and thank you for this gift of service!
