Assisting Families Affected by 7.1 Earthquake in California

Steve Rice; coordinator for OGT’s CA-NV-AZ Collection Center is assisting families affected by the earthquake in California. He has delivered clothing, over 100 hygiene kits, blankets and linens along with purchasing $1,000.00 in non-perishable foods, disposable diapers, baby formula, medical supplies, etc. to the towns of Ridgecrest and Trona, California. Steve is working with several churches to distribute the goods to those in need. He said “Most homes are red-tagged and the residents are living on their driveways. The temperature is around 110 degrees which makes it more difficult for living conditions. Portable showers were delivered last Tuesday and Calif. National Guard has brought in several water tankers.” In the town of Trona the medical clinic and Family Dollar was damaged and unable to open their doors to assist families. Please remember those families affected by the earthquakes in your prayers.
