Shipment Loaded for Panama Will Provide Aid for Many In Need

On Monday, Oct. 26 Orphan Grain Train—Michigan loaded its next international shipment. Supplies were sent from the Orphan Grain Train—Michigan Center to Casa de Refugio (House of Refuge) Puerto Caimito, La Chorrera, Panama. 10 tons of humanitarian supplies and relief were loaded by 31 volunteers onto a 40-foot high-cube shipping container. In September OGT’s Iowa West branch in Ida Grove delivered bedding, school supplies, layette and hygiene kits, blankets and clothing to Eric’s Closet/Siouxland Soup Kitchen and Beacon of Homeless Men’s Shelter.
