Your opportunity to give to those in need and less fortunate
The following materials are needed:
All items should be in good condition, as we have no way of cleaning, mending or repairing used items.
- Medical and surgical supplies in good condition and "gently" used:
wheel chairs, walkers, crutches, canes . . .
- Over the counter drugs with a minimum of one-year expiration, also flea and lice powder, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, personal hygiene kits, medicine cabinet supplies.
- Men's clothing, especially work clothes and shoes.
Women's clothing
Children's clothing
Infant's clothing
- Stoves, refrigerators, electronic devices . . . [Note: electronic devices must be configured for the European electrical system; "gas" devices must be kerosene based.]
- School supplies: coloring-books, crayons, pencils, ball point pens, writing paper, notebooks, chalk, envelopes, . . . [Many stores will donate school supplies which become obsolete as soon as school starts.] Managers if asked, will make the decision as to what can be donated.
- Quilts and blankets If you give new clothing, etc., all labels which show "newness" should be removed.
To aid in transporting, place all material in sturdy boxes and bring them to your church for your Orphan Grain Train volunteer to pick up. |
