On August 8, 2007, a 40-ft. container of medical supplies and equipment shipped from the Orphan Grain Train Norfolk warehouse and sponsored by Wisconsin Regional Division was received by International Health Partners US-TZ in Mwanza, Tanzania.
Paula Lofstrom of IHP gave the following account:
Attached are some of the pictures of the arrival of the container on 8 August, 2007. WHOOPEE! We are so grateful.
We had 12 medical students and volunteers on hand and some of them said they'd never done so much manual labor ever (this was a couple of girls from England). Anyway, they did a very good job. Den went through boxes. I went through boxes and did a lot of saying, "Put it over there." We took what we could over to the clinic, designated some things to go out to the dispensaries. Decided what things to give to the AIDS patients (adult diapers for instance) that are home bound.
Den is thrilled with the lab equipment. We were so anxious about the chemistry analyzer that we didn't even think about getting out a camera until after we'd unloaded it safely.
Blessings and much gratitude,
Paula and Den

Plenty of helping hands.
