In response to hurricanes Gustav and Ike Orphan Grain Train has sent nine semi-load shipments of supplies requested by our hurricane relief partners in Louisiana and Texas. Photos below show residents and their homes or former homes south of Houma, La. This area is without electric power. Many homes that were raised on pilings since Hurricane Katrina suffered roof damage or were partially or totally destroyed by Gustav.
