Hurricane Katrina Response Photos - 2006 - Page Five

Apr. 28, 2006 - Katrina relief supplies are picked up by volunteer trucker team Lloyd and Doris Dennert at Christ Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Loudon, Tenn. Photos by Lloyd Dennert.

Loudon was the third stop for the Dennerts, after pickups at Longford, Kans. and St. Louis., Mo. With financial help from LCMS World Relief/Human Care, 16,128 bottles of water were purchased from Longford Water Co.

After the pick-up in Loudon, Lloyd and Doris traveled to Memphis for supplies collected by Christ the King Lutheran Church and School. Items included groceries and water.

May 5, 2006 - The shipment has arrived in Belle Chasse, La. (located approximately eight miles southeast of New Orleans.) United Way warehouse director Eileen Barthe unloads a pallet of bleach.

Among the supplies: bleach, bath tissue, baby wipes, and diapers.
